Interior and exterior spaces of the recently finished Roma TRE rectorate buildings, in Rome Italy.
—
I’ve been recently assigned to photograph the brand new Roma Tre University New Rectorate Complex in via Ostiense, Rome. With their ellipsoidal shape and vertical iron beams, the three main office tower buildings are a reminiscence of the nearby gazometers of the dismissed Ostiense industrial area. The volumes are intersected by a wide garden roof platform which functions as a filter between the outdoor upper space and the ground floor. Organic shaped openings allows the sun light to pass through and to perceive the buildings as a whole block.
The photographic work has been developed in several sessions, in order to take advantage of the optimal weather and lighting conditions. Night sessions required some coordination with the lighting technicians.
